No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

I was blessed by having 2 mothers, Nell for bringing me into this world and having the heart big enough to let Lavelle adopt me and raise me as her own. I loved both of these women. The greatest joy though is knowing that I have sisters that love one another. "Mom"
instilled that in us, even in her last days. That we were to love one another. Thanks for being a wonderful mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. May you rest in peace near that beautiful water.

My dear sisters, I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could be there for you, but as you know, distance will not allow it.
I am sorry to say I have no memories of Nell, but I do know that I have some great sisters by her and Daddy. May the Lord comfort you all in this time of loss.
Debra Kay, Sharon, Pam, Darlene, and Gaye, I love you all and my prayers are with you.
Love your baby sister

Nell was and will eternally be my Sister - nothing can ever change the love we share for one another. I will miss her wonderful sense of humor, generous, caring nature and unrequited love. Precious nieces, you have my heart and I pray that God will be your protector and guide in this life. If we believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior & Redeemer, and yield our lives to HIM, our goodbye to Nell is only for a short time - someday, we will rejoin one another on the other side. The sting of death has been taken away and the grave has no power over believers. I love you always and forever.

I also met MiMi online. She was a great comfort to me in some bad times in my life. She always had an upbeat attitude and a love of God that has been an inspiration to me. God Bless, my friend.

Families have a way growing up and moving away; however, the memories (no matter how faint or distant) live on to continue to bring us joy. I know that letting go of a parent is very hard to do. But know that many friends and your family have you in there prayers and thoughts. I truly wish each of you the best and all the strength you need to make it through this difficult time.
I love you all,
Bruce Dale

I have not seen Aunt Nell in over 30 years. During my childhood and teenage years, she and Uncle Johnny were very much a part of my life. Aunt Nell always had a place for me to stay if I needed it and I can remember that she always looked at the brighter side of things about life. That is the way I will always remember her.

I came to know Nell as MiMi in an online community she visited. She impressed us all with her grace and dignity and down-to-earth wisdom. I am truly saddened by her passing, and extend my sympathies to her family.
