Edwin C. Messervey, of Park Ridge, beloved husband for 60 years of the late Charlotte J. Loving father of Diane L. (David) Livingston, John E. (Marsha), and Nancy E. Messervey; devoted grandfather of Kristin (Paul) Abrahams, Scott Livingston, Lauren and Brad Messervey; great-grandfather of Anna, Asher, and Elli Abrahams. Visitation Sunday, June 27, 4 to 7 p.m., at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Hwy., (2 blks S. of Touhy), Park Ridge. Funeral Service Monday, 11 a.m., at the Park Ridge Presbyterian Church, Delphia and Crescent Aves., Park Ridge. Interment Town of Maine Cemetery. Memorials to Park Ridge Presbyterian Church, Rainbow Hospice, or Shriner's Children's Hospitals. Edwin was a devoted father and grandfather, U.S. Army WW II Veteran of the Normandy Campaign, active member of his church since 1957, serving as an Elder and Deacon. Funeral info 847-823-1171.

Dear John, Diane, Nancy and family,
Our sincere sorrow in the loss of your Dad and our Uncle. We were not aware of Uncle Ed's passing and apologize for not being with you at his funeral. We loved your Dad and Mom and have many fond memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
