Guy Luke Obituary
Colonel Luke is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hilda Luke of Lake City; daughters, Kathy W. Calvert (Keith), and Carol L. Hammar, both of Allen, TX; grandsons, Jason L. Ekberg of China, Aaron D. Shropshire of Plano, TX, and Austin L. Hammar (Shannon) of Allen, TX.
Funeral services for Colonel Luke will conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 3, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Lake City with Reverend Jeff Tate officiating. Private interment services with full Military Honors will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 973 S. Marion Ave., Lake City, FL 32025 or Haven Hospice-Suwannee Valley Care Center, 6037 W. Miss Hilda,
We are so sorry to hear about Guy. He was a great person and the kids really liked him. When Blade was younger and got a new watch, he would ask Blade every Sunday what time it was. He also talked about the hogs with the kids when they used to raise them. We will all have fond memories of him.

Hilda and Family,
I remember all of the cards Guy made for my Mom and Dad over the years. Please know how much we will miss him and how much we care about your gracious and caring family. I will be praying for everyone. He was a wonderful man on so many fronts, as you are a wonderful woman on as many.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. It was a pleasure to have worked with Guy and to have known Hilda. It warmed my heart to know his final days were blessed with my Haven Hospice friends and co-workers. Guy Luke was a blessed man.
