Bath- Richard H. Towle, 94, of Bedford Street, passed away peacefully at CMMC on April 7, 2010. He was born on February 27, 1916 the son of Walter andLillian Robinson Towle. Richard grew up in Palmyra and graduated from Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield.After high school he worked for Cushman's Bakery for several years. On Sept21, 1937 he married Marian Rudman in Palmyra, and they moved to Bath to raise their family.Richard went to work for Oakhurst Dairy, here in Bath, as a delivery driver retiring in1981. He was also a member of the Mason, Polar Lodge #114.Richard was an avid golfer, enjoyed woodworking, ceramics and square dancing with his wife.He is predeceased by his wife Marian, a brother Clarence Towle and a sister Eleanor Hollister.Surviving him are 3 children, Richard Towle Jr of Auburn, Robert Towle and his wife Anne of Paxton, MA and Kathie Towle of Rehoboth, MA, a brotherFrederick Towle of CT, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
