Beverly Givant Chase Obituary

WEST DES MOINES - Beverly A. "Bev" Chase, 78, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 in an automobile accident. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, at McLaren's Chapel in West Des Moines, with private burial at Resthaven Mausoleum.
Bev was born in Los Angeles, CA to Harry and Lottie Goodman. She worked for the Iowa Department of Revenue for 31 years and was affectionately known as the "Frog Lady." She was a member of the West Des Moines Elks Lodge #2752. Bev lived life to the fullest and she will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends.
Bev is survived by her five children, Andie (Allen) Black of Cedar Rapids, Cindy (Rick) Arnold of Van Meter, Michelle (Darrell) Farmer of West Des Moines, Jim (Dawn) Givant of Oelwein, and Susie (James Watson) Givant of West Des Moines; nine grandchildren, Justin (Kendra) Arnold and Alison (Sam Thompson) Arnold, Kelsey (Ryan Meenagh), Madison, Lacey and Joshua Farmer, and Alexander, Nathan and Gabriel Givant; her best friend of 50 years, Nadine Ludwig, and her former husband Daniel Givant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and husband, Bill Chase.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at McLaren's Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the West Des Moines Elks Lodge #2752 for Veteran's and children's charities or to Hospice of Central Iowa.
