Cardlin, Andrew V.
Andrew V. Cardlin passed away peacefully in Phoenix, AZ on April 30, 2010. Andrew was born in Brooklyn, NY to Edna and Michael Cardlin on August 30, 1927. After high school, he joined the US Army in the defense of his country during World War II. Andrew had lived in the Phoenix area for the last 37 years, living in Surprise for the last five years. He loved spending time with his family and friends, cooking for them and when time permitted, loved woodworking, building model airplanes and fishing. Andrew is survived by his devoted children Gail D. Ligon, Andrew R. Cardin, Randel S. Cardlin and Lisa Epply; cherished grandchildren Jason, Justin, Joel Weidner, Clinton Cardlin, Lee Ann Paglia, Anna Gamel and Ashley Gamel; great grandchildren Breanna Weidner, Payton Cardlin, Joelle, Gabrielle, Danielle, John and Allen Weidner; brother Anthony Cardlin and nieces Carole Zappulla and Susan Kilgus. A Service of Remembrance will be celebrated on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10:00am at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ.
