Linda Bybee (nee Cantrell), age 67, passed away suddenly in July of 2025, in Colville, WA. Linda was born on June 25, 1958 in California, she lived a life marked by resilience, faith, and a deep love for the natural world.

Linda was known for her remarkable mechanical skills – a talent not often expected but deeply admired. Whether working on engines or tackling hand-on projects, she approached each task with determination and precision. At the time of her passing, Linda was in the midst of transforming a piece of raw land into a welcoming space where her loved ones could gather. This was an endeavor that reflected both her vision and her generosity.

Her connection to nature was profound. She found peace and purpose in the outdoors, especially through camping and hiking. Her loyal dog Max was always by her side on these adventures. Together they explored trails and mountains throughout the region. Linda had set herself a heartfelt goal: to visit as many local mountains as possible so she could pray from their peaks. This was a testament to both her spiritual devotion and her love for creation.

Faith played a central role in Linda's life. She was actively involved in an online church group and had begun learning Hebrew to deepen her understanding of the Bible. Her passion for sharing her beliefs was evident; she spoke openly about her faith with anyone willing to listen.

Linda's life was also defined by service to others. She consistently offered help to family and friends whenever she could. Embodying a spirit of kindness and hard work that left a lasting impression on those around her.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Bybee on Oct. 28, 2009.

Linda is survived by her step-son, Patrick Bybee of Seattle, WA and close friend, Rebecca Kouf of Colville, WA.

The memorial service celebrating Linda Bybee will begin at 6:00 p.m., November 25, 2025 at the Momentum Church (Colville Assembly of God). May her memory bring comfort to those who know and loved her.
