She enjoyed hunting and fishing with her dad and spending time with her children.
Survivors include her father, Robert Lee Rakes, and companion Jennie Colvin of Campbellsville; her children: Jessica Hope Smothers, Oliver Ellison Hall, and Anderson Blake Hall.
Her grandparents, Linda Lou Rakes and Judy Tungate, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Hazel Marie Rakes will be on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.
Interment in the Jesus Name Church Cemetery
Elder Jimmy Sharp will be officiating
Family requests visitation after 11:00 A.M. Thursday until the time for the service.
Memorials are suggested to the Funeral Expense Fund and can be made in person at the funeral home or by clicking the "DONATION" tab at the top of this obituary.
