Linda Joy Dragotta (née Richter), age 82, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, and was lovingly called home to be with the Lord. Born on September 25, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI, Linda was the daughter of the late Leonard and Leona (Frankwick) Richter. She spent many years in New Berlin, WI, where she raised her family, and later enjoyed a quieter life in Adams, WI. In her later years, she relocated to Delavan to be closer to family and to receive the care she needed.
A devoted homemaker, Linda also worked as a weaver at One Hour Martinizing while raising her children.
She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in fishing, hunting, attending car shows, and especially caring for her cherished, award-winning chickens and other pets. One of her greatest joys was gathering around the table for family meals - sharing stories, laughter, and love. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members. Linda will be remembered for her sharp wit, unique sense of humor, and the warmth and generosity she extended to everyone she met. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering love left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Chris) McNeece; her son, Scott (Lisa); her beloved grandchildren, Dustin (Tanya), Dana (Jesse Ksobiech), and Kimberly (Shawn Ecklund); and great-grandchildren, Eloise, Rosalie, Owen, and one expected soon. She is also survived by her sisters, Lorraine (OJ) Krieger, Luane (Mark) Bauman, Lita (Kirk) Tuson, and Cheryl Richter, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Steven, and her brother, Lawrence Richter.
A private celebration of Linda's life will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Delavan Health Services for their compassionate care and support over the years. Legacy Funeral Services has the honor of serving the family.
