Joseph McDonald Obituary

Mr. Joseph L. McDonald, 78, formerly of Novato, CA died November 10, 2010 at home in Lodi, CA.
Born February 5, 1932, in Watertown, NY, son of Robert and Irene Finley McDonald, he graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy and from the University of Buffalo. He married Betty Raper on August 18, 1962, in Durham, N.C.
Joseph joined the Navy in 1951, serving for four years. After receiving his honorable discharge, he taught school and coached football in Indian Head, MD, where he met his wife, Betty. Joseph went to work for the Federal Government, working in Baltimore, MD, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco, CA. Upon his retirement from the Federal Government, he worked for Presidio Press in Novto, California.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 48 years Betty McDonald (Grandma Betty), daughters, Anne Carroll (Jeremy), Susan Coughlin (Brian), son Patrick McDonald (April). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren Tyler, Kevin, Chelsea, Reilly, Peyton, Finley and Brennan.
Joseph is to be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
