Roberta Brennan Obituary

Roberta I. Brennan of Billerica, devoted to her family; 73 BILLERICA Roberta I. Brennan, age 73, loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Saturday, September 27th, at Lowell General Hospital. Roberta was born in Lowell, MA, on September 25th, 1935. She was raised in Billerica, MA, and remained there throughout her life. She raised her family in the River Pines neighborhood of Billerica. Roberta was loved. If asked she would tell you that her greatest accomplishment was her family, she lived to care for them. Never a woman to complain or speak ill of others, Roberta was a woman of honesty. For many she was an icon, a roll model, and a pillar of strength. She was a woman of simple pleasures who enjoyed the outdoors and all that nature had to offer. Her love of country music has been passed to her family, and her wisdom and courage carries on in every life she ever touched. Roberta's ability to always see the best in anyone was a quality many will always remember. Her love of family will never be forgotten, nor will her family's love for her ever fade. Roberta is survived by her daughters, Sandra and her husband, Tom McGarry of Seabrook, NH, Diane and Carol Brennan of Billerica, Pamela Brennan of Lowell, and Christie Bobo and her husband, Mike of Salem, NH; her sons, Brian and Dale, Brennan of Billerica; her two sisters, Clara Mongold, Norfolk, VA, and Stella Willis Billerica; her 16 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Brennan, Jr. BRENNAN Of Billerica, Roberta I. Brennan. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 4, 2008 at Mickee's Pub, 512 Middlesex Turnpike, Billerica, MA. Arrangements under the care of the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, Billerica.

We never knew Roberta but we knew her daughters from cribbage and they were wonderful and we know they got that from their Mom. May she rest in peace.
