Anne Weglinski Obituary

Anne St. Germain Weglinski in Michigan, formerly of Chelmsford; 67 BOYNE CITY, MI Anne St. Germain Weglinski, 67, of Boyne City, MI, died at home, surrounded by her family. Anne was born October 5, 1941, in Arlington, MA and grew up in Chelmsford, MA. She graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1959. On September 14, 1963, Anne married John Weglinski in Chelmsford, MA. Anne was a devoted mom and tireless volunteer for hospice and Benjamin Blum Hospitality House. She followed her love for education and literature by obtaining her Associate's Degree in Literature at Northern Michigan Community College. Anne cultivated a love for writing. She was active in local writing groups, and she had a loyal following as a regular columnist for the local "Generations" publication. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Anna St. Germain, and her brother, John St. Germain. Anne is survived by her husband of 45 years, John Weglinski; her 3 children, Michael (Cristy) of San Francisco, CA, Karen (Brent) of Greensboro, NC, and Peter (Mita) of West Chester, PA; and her five grandchildren, Samantha, Katie, Sean, Alex and Oz; her brothers, Philip (Toni), Tom (Carol), Jim and Bill; as well as several nieces and nephews. Anne will be forever remembered for her love of family, her quick wit and sense of humor and her selfless, giving spirit. WEGLINSKI A memorial service will be held in Anne's honor on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwest Michigan Hospice (www.hospicenwm.org), P.O. Box 233, Boyne City, Michigan 49712. The world has lost an outstanding, beautiful person. Anne was more to me than a family member. She was also my friend. She will be greatly missed, but remembered with much, much love.
