(Engebretson) Livermore, age 77, and long-time resident of Concord, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2008, at Concord Heath Care Center. She was the wife of the late Albert V. Livermore. During the Blizzard of February 1969, Albert suffered a heart attack, while trying to rescue a local man who was stuck inside his car in a snow bank, leaving Grace to raise their two daughters on her own. Grace had a deep love of music and sang in the Concord High Chorus, the Concord Chorus, and the Trinitarian Congregational Church Choir where she was a member. Mrs. Livermore was best known for her home-based childcare business. All the children who were cared for called her "Nana" for which even their parents referred to her as. Grace was so pleased to get visits from the alumni kids over the years after she retired. She will always be known for her caring and generous ways and will be remembered by many who knew and loved her. She is survived by her two daughters, Lori Hack of Concord, and Karen Crist of Lowell; her sister, Marion Hanson of Lunenburg; two grandsons, Harley Crist and Carter Hack; and several nieces and nephews. Dear Mom,
How I will miss you! We had so many fun times together before and after you entered Concord Health Care Center. I will miss your smile and laugh the most. I promise to keep your memory alive so that Carter will know what a special mom and Nana you were to all of us. I will love you forever and I hope you keep watch over me and Karen and our families. I know you will keep those angels laughing and singing up there. What a wild party it will be! My hope is that you and Daddy are together again. You always said he was the best!

I can't believe that her incredibly strong spirit has left us! She had an earthy intelligence that I will miss. Nana was a part of my familiy's growth, taking care of Jacqui and Tommy in her competent, humorous, manner. We will all miss her.

Lori,

I am so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. I remember how kind she was to me as a new nurse, and how she would always offer a word of encouragement or a quick story to make me laugh depending upon what I needed at the time!
She would also speak of her "kids" with such love and pride. I remember how happy she was on the day you became engaged! Please accept my condolences during this very sad and difficult time.
