May Stonner of Manchester, NH, Lowell native; 94 MANCHESTER, NH May Stonner, 94, of Manchester, NH, died on Sunday, October 26, 2008, at Villa Crest Nursing Center. Mrs. Stonner was born November 8, 1913, in Lowell, MA, the daughter of Benjamin and Sadie (Goldman) Weisberg. She married Irving J. Stonner on August 18, 1935. She was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and the Sisterhood of the Temple and she was a member of Hadassah. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She was a talented knitter, artist, and gardener, especially with African violets. She was best known as a regal woman of valor, and a wonderful mother. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Irving, in 1998; and brothers, Isadore and Jack Weisberg. Her family includes her daughter, Nancy Stonner Potvin of Auburn, NH; 2 sons, Thomas Stonner of Goffstown, NH, and Richard Stonner of Bedford, NH; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Samuel Weisberg of Dracut, MA; and several nieces and nephews. STONNER A funeral service was held at the Chapel at Manchester Hebrew Cemetery, South Beech St., Manchester, on Monday, October 27th. Rabbi Beth D. Davidson officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The Temple Adath Yeshurun Sisterhood, 152 Prospect St., Manchester, NH 03104; or the NH Alzheimer's Association, 1 Bedford Farms Dr., Suite 105, Bedford, NH 03110.
