Edward Wagner Obituary

Edward W. Wagner avid bowler, enjoyed watching sports; 85 Dracut Edward W. Wagner, 85, a resident of Dracut, and formerly of Lowell and Pelham, NH, died Monday October 27th at Saints Medical Center in Lowell after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Laurette L. (Paradis) Wagner who died in 1999. He was born in Lowell on January 5, 1923, and was the son of the late Gedeon and Aldea (Rivet) Wagner. He received his education in Dracut schools. Early in his life, Mr. Wagner was employed by GE in Lynn. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 33 years as a salesman by the JJ Nissen Baking Company in Lawrence. He was an active communicant for 50 years of the former St. Jeanne D'Arc Church in Lowell, and he was a member of the Teamsters Local 686, and the Centralville Social Club. He was an avid bowler and also enjoyed watching sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul Wagner of Pelham, NH, and Robert and Sharon Wagner of Dracut; two grandsons Kenneth Wagner and Timothy Wagner, both of Dracut, two brothers Bernard Wagner of Pelham, NH, and Richard Wagner and his wife Jeanne of Dracut; a sister Loretta Jacques of Lowell; a brother-in-law Roland Paradis of Lowell; four sisters-in-law Theresa Lewis of Tewksbury, Doris Hines and her husband Harold of Nashua, NH, Irene Boucher and her husband Roger of Westford and Priscilla Dragon and her husband Paul of Chelmsford; many nieces and nephews, and his extended family at Wingate. WAGNER Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave, DRACUT, on Thursday from 7:15 until 8:15 am, followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9 am at St. Francis Church in Dracut. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Activities Department C/O Wingate at Lowell, 500 Wentworth Ave, Lowell, MA 01852.
