Olive Smith Obituary

Olive L. Smith of Milford, NH, formerly of Westford; 86 Milford, NH Olive L. Smith, 86, resident of Milford, NH, died October 27, 2008 at her home. She was born in Salem, MA on October 5, 1922, a daughter of the late Willis & Mary E. (Tyrrell) Quimby. Mrs. Smith resided in Milford for more than 20 years and previously lived in Westford, for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Westford, MA. In addition, she enjoyed music, art and dancing. A loving mother and devoted grandmother, she loved spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, George C. Smith, who died in 1980. Family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Corinne C. & Bruce Phillips of Palmetto, FL; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne K. & Maria Smith and Bruce L. & Diane Smith, all of Milford, NH; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Willis F. Quimby of Beverly, MA and Earl & Irene Quimby of Danvers, MA. SMITH Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st from 9:00-9:30 am in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm St, Milford, NH, followed by a memorial service at 9:30am. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Westford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph's Adult Day Care Program, c/o Resource Development, 172 Kinsley St, Nashua, NH 03061 or American Diabetes Association, 249 Canal St, Manchester, NH 03101.
