Henry Trask Obituary

Dr. Henry McKenney Trask, 93 GORHAM -- Dr. Henry McKenney Trask, 93, died Feb. 25, 2009, in his sleep at Gorham House after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born June 29, 1915, the son of Oland and Lucy McKenney Trask. Dr. Trask attended Bar Mills Grammar School and graduated from Kent's Hill and attended Governor Dummer Academy for one year prior to entering Bowdoin College. He graduated from Bowdoin College in 1937, and Boston University School of Medicine in 1943. Dr. Trask served his internship at Boston City Hospital and practiced in Brooklyn, N.Y., until 1967, when he returned to Maine to practice in Westbrook until his retirement. He was a life long dedicated member of the First Congregational Church of Buxton, and was an avid historian of the town. Dr. Trask leaves a nephew, Bruce Palmer Kearsley of Minden, Nev., a niece, Anne Williamson of Bar Mills; and a cousin, Robert McKenney of Falmouth. A memorial service will be held on April 25 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Buxton. Arrangements by Dolby & Dorr Funeral Chapel.
