CROFT, Paul Wayne, age 72, of Arlington, Va., died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, of multiple organ failure, at the Virginia Hospital Center. Born April 1, 1939, in Bedford, Va., he was the son of the late Roy S. and Mabel Croft. Mr. Croft was a U.S. Navy veteran. After his three years in the Navy, he worked as the manager of the Sunco Station on Wilson Boulevard in Arlington and later he was a self-employed painter. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria M. Newman, which ended in divorce; and his second wife, Nancy Jula, of 25 years; four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Ruth Pebworth of Chesapeake, Va.; sisters, Nell Blandford of Bedford, Va., Ann Fuqua of Clinton, Md., and Nancy Gray of Altavista, Va.; and two grandchildren. Services private. Memorial may be made to the Billy Mitchell American Legion Post #85, 919 N. Kansas Street, Arlington, Va. 22201.
