Died on active duty March 10, 2004 as a result of a training accident. He was stationed at MCAS Miramar, CA, where he was the Air Field Operations Officer.
Born in Cambridge, MA, Peter attended schools in Lexington, MA and high school at Brooks Shcool in North Andover, MA. He graduated in 1983 from the University of Washington. He served onver 20 yeats as an aviator in the Marine Corps, during which time he received his Masters degrees in business management and military studies.
In addition to his wife, Nancy; daughters, Claire, Amy, Carrie and son, Mark of La Mesa, CA, he leaves behind his parents, Virginia Freedgood of Holland, PA and Paul Nicholson of Boston, MA; sisters, Elizabeth Nicholson of Boston, MA and Ruth Janjic of Boulder, CO.
Services previously held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to The Peter Nicholson Fund, Brooks School, North Andover, MA.
