She portrayed Miss Maudie Atkinson in "To Kill a Mockingbird" and won an Emmy for her work in the television movie "Eleanor and Franklin." She earned three Tony nominations for "Period of Adjustment," "Any Wednesday" and "A Delicate Balance."

I was so sorry to hear of the Rosemary's passing. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you mourn her loss. We shared as members of the Class of 1943 at Holy Names Academy.I will be waiting to hear of her remembrance gathering at a later date. My heartfelt condolences for your loss. Hoping you find some comfort in knowing that Rosemany Murphy brought joy to many of us by just doing what she loved and doing it so well. Many have found the promise of endless life free of pain and sorry to be something worth looking forward to. What a grand reunion that is going to be!
