George Raacke Obituary

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - George W. Raacke III, 69, died at home Saturday, May 16, 2015, of cancer. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Elizabeth; two children, Rosemary (Mary Beth) Thomas and George W. Raacke, Jr.; grandson, William H. Thomas; four siblings, Robin Hagerman, Jane Ciano, John Raacke and Charles Raacke. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and SEAL Team 1. He was born in Seaford, New York. He worked for the City of Miami (FL) Police Department K-9 and eventually settled in North Augusta, where he worked for 26 years at WSI when he retired.
