JOSEPH KOHRMAN Obituary

JOSEPH H. KOHRMAN, 79, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Fort Wayne, and was the owner of Cedar Creek Carryout for 31 years, retiring in 1989. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post #409, past Chairman of Venture III recreation commitee, Jensen, Fla., past director of the Indiana Association of Beverage Retailers. Surviving are his sons, Michael and Steven Kohrman, both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Laura M. Nellum of Fort Wayne, Cynthia R. Carboni of Fort Wayne, Janet L. Swan of Illinois, Christine A. Kohrman of Illinois, Katherine M. Gillespie of Waterloo; brothers, Thomas Kohrman of Illinois, and William Kohrman of Daleville, Ind.; sisters, Theresa Bowers of New Haven, Ind., and Joan Nix of Fort Wayne; 25 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roseann M. in 2008; two sisters; and one brother. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013 at St. Vincent Catholic Church with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013 at Tom Mungovan Funeral Home, 2221 S. Calhoun St. with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials to Masses and gifts to the church.

Joe will be greatly missed, he was the Best Father Inlaw a man can ever ask for. He was always good and fair to me.
