My Dad and Uncle marched alongside Mr. Blass when Joe Ferko was Captain and also supported his election as Captain in 1968. A fine gentleman and exemplary successor to Joe Ferko himself, a true gentleman at all times. He will be missed but know his reward in Heaven will be great.

I recall the day we elected Joe captain of the Ferko String Band. Joe was a great kind hearted leader. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.
