Waldemar Klasing Obituary

Klasing, Waldemar John 100 died peacefully at his residence on May 26, 2012. He was born on Dec. 26, 1911 in St. Louis, MO to the late Martha Marie Drekopf Klasing; brother of the late Arthur, Walter, Amanda and Pauline Klasing; uncle of Donald (Janet) Klasing and Diane (Paul) Beard. He graduated from Washington University in 1938 with a BS in Civil Engineering and an MS from the University of Illinois. He was a retired Major of the Army Corp of Engineers. A member of Benjamin Franklin Lodge #642 AF & AM of Mo. and a 50 year member of the Engineers Club. Beloved companion to his dog Chico and a friend to many. Much gratitude to Waldemar's long time dedicated caregivers, Josephine Crowder and Jean Francois, as well as Jessica Brandt and Dawn Raab. Thanks to Shelly Neudecker, NP for her attentive, compassionate end of life care. He will be missed by many, but as Waldemar said, carry on. Services: Services will be held on June 6 at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Mausoleum, 7800 St. Charles Rock Road, 63114. In lieu of flowers donations to Josephine Crowder's Church, Good News Deliverance Church of God, St. Louis, MO 63136.
