John Navitsky Obituary

John J. Navitsky Sr., 74, of 306 W. Centre St., Shenandoah, passed away unexpectedly Sunday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.

Born in Shenandoah, May 28, 1938, he was a son of the late William and Elizabeth Ferguson Navitsky.

John attended school in Shenandoah prior to entering the military. He was a veteran of the Air Force, having served overseas during the Korean War.

John worked for and retired from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas and William Navitsky; and sisters, Mary Kegolis, Regina Zulkowski and Julia Gomosky.

John is survived by a son, John J. Navitsky Jr., Zion Grove; three stepchildren; four grandchildren.

John chose to be an organ donor and in honoring his wishes, funeral services will be private at his family's convenience and interment will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Ringtown, assisted John's family during their time of need. More information is available at www.ring townfuneral.com.
