Lewis Dayton Obituary

Dayton, Lewis

Lewis Dayton January 17, 1940-February 6, 2017

Lew decided he'd had enough on Monday February 6th, 2017 and joined his family and beloved grand-dogs Sturgeon and Wilson.

He is survived by his son Thomas (Stephanie), his daughter Heather, sister Sharon, brother Michael, grandchildren Nate, Christopher, Natasha and Keyona, and his nieces and nephews Tammy, Anna, Steve and Phil. He is also survived by his good friend SSgt Darry L. Deaton U.S.M.C. (Ret.) whose friendship he valued greatly.

He was proceeded in death by his son Patrick, his mother Maureen and his brother Phil.

We would like to thank the staff and his friends at Brookdale Broadway Mesa for their love, support, and friendship and also the doctors at Banner Gateway Hospital in Gilbert for their compassion in dad's final days. In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made to any Veterans charity of your choice.

Lewis was a proud Vietnam Veteran and he will be interred at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Friday May 5, 2017 at 10:30 am.
