I always considered her my aunt. I use to stay with her during the summer when I was young. Aunt Iris I will miss you greatly.

I can't believe Mrs. Iris is gone. I can still see her working in her yard and riding the golf cart. She was kind to me when I deserved it the least. I know my life is better now because she was a part of it. The last time I saw her was at my fathers funeral. I guess she was the person I thought would just go on forever. I love you Mrs. Iris and thank you for making my life better.

Iris was my aunt, my Dad was her eldest sibling. She was always a part of our growing up time...one of my favorite aunts.
I'm so glad I was able to see her recently and have the chance to tell her for the last time that I loved her and to have her tell me for the last time that she loved me. I will treasure that always.
I will forever hear her saying the words "thoooger" in that Iris Southern way, as that was one of her favorite pet names for those she loved.
I will miss her so very much, as I know all who knew and loved her will. Peace and comfort to all who loved her.
A comforting passage from scripture that my sister and I had put on our parents' stone speaks here for Iris as well.
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
Rest, Iris, we will see you again.

We are so sorry to learn of Miss Iris' passing. We have been negligent in not visiting her, and regret that. We hope and pray that family and loved ones will find comfort in your faith and your memories. We have many fond memories of her. We know you will miss her sweet spirit. Our love to all.

Aunt Iris was a very special lady! I married into the Goff family and she always made me feel welcome in the family. My husband, Robert, loved his Aunt Iris. Our prayers are with you all.
