Patricia Topfer Obituary
AGE: 77 • Fair Haven
Patricia A. Topfer, 77, a 52 year Fair Haven resident, died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014. Pat was born in Long Branch to Alan and Lois (Megill) Gornee. Pat was a 50 year member and past Grand Royal Matron of the Order of the Amaranth, member of the Eastern Star, past Queen of Daughters of the Nile, past High Priestess of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, member of the White Shrine, past Directress of the Jesterettes, member of the Daughters of Scotia, past president of Fair Haven Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and also a member of the Elks Lodge of Red Bank.
She was predeceased by her parents. Pat is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Jules E. Topfer; daughters, Shara Albans of North Long Branch, Juli-Anne Constantino of VA and Lynne Cook of TN; her son, Ronnie Cook of Red Bank; brother, Alan Gornee of CA; sister, Barbara Sinclair of FL; and grandchildren, Jacqueline McAllister and husband Peter, Abigale Oglesby and Sergio, Nico and Angela Constantino and her great-grandson, Trevor McAllister.
Memorial services will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat's name to the Amaranth Diabetes Fund, attn.: Lori Fischer, 86 Union Pl., North Arlington, NJ 07031. Please visit Pat's memorial website available at www.johnedayfuneralhome.com.

Pat is my eldest cousin, who I will miss dearly. She was always ready & willing to help, never having to be asked. She loved family gatherings, hosting many cook-outs and holiday parties herself. She was the one I could go to for family secrets or stories I was too young to remember. She knew them all. When my mother could no longer care for her beloved cat, it was cousin Pat who offered to take her and care for her. Knowing how much mom and the cat missed each other, she would take Callie the cat to visit my mom every few weeks, cheering up her Aunt Ruth and Callie too. That was was my cuz, always, always giving. I loved her. Rest in Peace cuz.

To Jules and family, I am so sorry for your loss and I wish you all peace. Pat was such a wonderful woman. Every time I ran into her we'd talk like we saw each other yesterday and needed to finish our chats. I am lucky she touched my life.
