Jean Towler Hughes

AGE: 76 • Tinton Falls

Jean Towler Hughes, 76, of Tinton Falls, NJ passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. She was a lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore area and attended the Long Branch public school system and graduated from Monmouth County School of Nursing in 1972. She was employed at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 27 years before retiring in June of 1990. She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Tinton Falls, NJ.

She was predeceased by her husband Thomas E. Hughes in 1987, a daughter Robin in 1990, and a sister Wilma Sims in 2011. She is survived by her son Darryl Hughes, Totowa, NJ, and her daughter Terriann Ellis, Neptune, NJ; six grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, her sister Sarah Flowers, Long Branch, NJ, two brothers, Marvin Towler and his wife Alma, and Robert V. Towler and his wife Phyllis; a sister-in-law, Mary Towler of Eatontown, NJ; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M., 7:00 P.M.- 9:00 P.M. on Friday at Childs Funeral Home, 364 Shrewsbury Ave., Red Bank, NJ. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, North Congregation, Tinton Falls, NJ. Entombment will be held at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls, NJ.

You will be greatly missed you played a big role in my life as i was a child you and my mother Ruth Wallace were very good friends in life you have shown me so many things in life along with my mother.
