Aunt Ann you were only ten years my senior, so I have many memories of you. As a child, I remember you sitting on the top stoop at Prospect Ave. Linda and I were playing some street game, I don't remember exactly which game but what followed is as clear as it happened yesterday. Cousin Linda fell and I being the sarcastic one attempted to hop a fence that was about 3-4 feet high to get Linda a flower. As I hopped over, I lost my balance and wound up with my leg puncturing the picket fence. As I hung there aimlessly, I saw you look down and without hesitation you came running and removed me from the picket fence. We walked to Christ hospital with Nanny and a trail of kids and I received my first stitch kicking all the way.
Prospect Ave was a safe place for me and you were part of the reason I felt it was safe. I don't ever in my life remember you being anything but compassionate. When you married I thought you were just like the Cleavers. House always in order, children well cared for, a loving husband, and a picture perfect life. That image was because of the energy you devoted to your family. You will sorely be missed by us all. Love, Sissy

I don't even know what to say....Mrs. Reid was a sweet and loving person. She was such a great friend to my mom and she will be missed so much. Growing up next door, I remember my mom and Mrs. Reid calling each other for sugar, flour, an egg, etc....laughing together, having lunch, enjoying their friendship. Our deepest condolences to Mr. Reid, Debbie, Georgie, and their families. I can't express how sorry we are for your loss. We wish we could be there, but our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, The Petrany's. Tracy, Joe, Brooke & Caity
