As this Anniversary anniversary of Jims passing approaches, my thoughts go back to St. Marys Church in Nutley. At our annual Irish Mass before our St. Patricks Day parade, Jims amazing voice filled the church year after year with the beautiful song Lady of Knock. No one could sing it quite like Jim!
As the years go by, the void he left in our yearly Irish Mass is just as large today as it was that first year.
A wonderful man that left many enjoyable memories with anyone that knew him.
We miss him dearly.

On Oct 1,2010, my Daughter and I attended Megan's wedding ceremony at St. Francis of Assisi. While we were waiting for the ceremony to start I struck up a conversation with meet Mr. Mooney who I never have met until that day. He seemed like such a sweet and kind man. Mr. Mooney said that the groom asked him to sing at his wedding so I hope I do a good job because I didn't get to practice with the organist. Well when he started singing I got chills. His voice was amazing. Then when he sang the Irish prayer it was so beautiful. After the ceremony we went up to Mr. Mooney and told him that his voice was amazing and it had to have been the most beautiful wedding mass I have ever been too. I only had the opportunity to meet Mr. Mooney for alittle over an hour and how he touched my heart. I can only amagine how many other hearts he touched. My thoughts are with his wife and family.

On October 1st 2010 I attended Megan's wedding at St. Francis where I had the pleasure of meeting/speaking with Mr. Mooney prior to him singing. Once he started singing his voice moved me so much. He had an beautiful effortless singing voice. After the mass I spoke with him again to tell him how much we enjoyed his singing and it was probably the most beautiful wedding mass that we have been too. Yes I only knew him for what maybe was an hour or so, but he touched my life. My heart goes out to his wife and family.
