Dear Dean and family,
Art and I were both saddened to hear of Roberta's passing, but knew that she stepped through in to eternity and we will see her again. O Glorious Day! Shortly after, my dear Art was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We both wanted to meet for lunch with Dean and our mutual friends Jim and Barbara Manning, but that lunch never happened. My dear Art also stepped through in to The Lord's presence on February 7, 2011 and is gloriously healed. There are many friends that have passed on to The Lord within this past year. My confidence is in knowing that I will see them all again very soon. Today I attended my first bereavement support group meeting and there was Dean! I didn't know Roberta, but Art did. She was a fine lady. I looked back and saw that Art and I had sent a wedding invitation to Dean and Roberta. Knowing you both were on our invite list means that you were very dear to Art. Thank you for being his friend and mine too.

Jammie Friend: a person with whom you are at home, regardless of where you are. Roberta didn't just make a home; she *was* home.
I had heard stories about the Ingrahams, my husband's second family from childhood. Significant friends.
Then they visited our home; mornings found Roberta and I sitting cross-legged on a bed, in our jammies, pillows in our laps, gabbing as if we had been best friends...forever!

~ welcoming Roberta.
She had a talent for connecting with people, a genuine love and concern for those whom God brought alongside her, and pure zest! I can picture her dancing down the hallway giving us a tour of her home. Her vibrant life will always be a shining example to me.

Roberta will always hold a special place in my rememberings. Because Ted was my best friend as a young boy, Roberta was my mother whenever I was in her home. She always treated me that way, whether she was serving up b'sketti or spankings!
I now know she loved her own children more than me, but back then I could not tell the difference. I don’t think I can really know the debt I owe her for all of the love she has shown me. I was too young and stupid to appreciate most of it. But I know she would not see it that way.
She would simply hug me and say I didn’t owe her anything, because it’s all from Jesus. She’s right. So I will give thanks to Jesus for His beloved servant Roberta. And I will miss her for a short while.
But I will anticipate seeing her again, in the place where all sorrows cease. Until then I will continue to hear her contagious laughter and see her bright smile, hoping she has rubbed off on me more than I realize.

People are not always comfortable letting loose and worshiping the Lord whole-heartedly during worship music at church. Roberta never held back. She danced and sang out to the Lord with a smile on her face everyweek. She inspired me from my view on stage while playing guitar Sunday mornings. Cornerstone worship team will miss her presence every week, but I know she's up in Heaven still, dancing and singing happier than ever!

I had the privilege of meeting Roberta through Cornerstone Church in Yuba City. In the 6 years I lived in the Yuba/Marysville area Roberta was constantly making sure I was up to date with her grandson in the Marines. She always made an effort to thank me for my service to my country. Her encouragement spoke volumes to me, especially as she related everything back to her Savior, Jesus Christ. I wish I could be back in Yuba City to say my final goodbye on this earth, but God has me in another part of the world. What a sweet time it is for Roberta now as she embraces her Savior for eternity.
PS...since there is not a spot for outside the US I'll put Yuba City as my location (Italy). It truly became home mainly through the hospitality of Roberta and the army of awesome Christians at Cornerstone Church.

Dear Dean and Family,
Roberta has always been one of my favorite people. She always had a smile and gave a big hug even though she was such a little minute. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I will remember all the great times working together for our community.
All my love and God bless you,

I got to know Roberta during Titus 2. She was there with a smile on her face, but the biggest smile was for her sweet savior! This woman worshiped freely and sincerely! I loved seeing her about town, she gave big hugs and a big laugh! She is missed greatly, but I can't help but smile myself when I think of her dancing with the Father.

Roberta was a light in every room she entered. She was tough and unrelenting in her determination to do the right things. She managed to walk that ever-so-difficult line between someone who is unbending in their beliefs yet gracious and kind to everyone. She has been a role model for me.

Roberta was my dear cousin, but we thought of ourselves as sisters. She was a part of my life from the day I was born (73 yrs ago) and she will continue to be a part of my life until we meet again.

Shirley and I want to thank God for the fellowship we had with Roberta back in the Fremont days. We also extend our hearts to Dean and his children as they adjust to her presence in heaven and not on this earth. In a few short years we will join her because of the actions and love of Jesus Christ. Thank you God for the Ingraham family.
With love,
