Neil DIAMOND Obituary

DIAMOND, Dr. Neil Ira Dr. Neil Ira Diamond passed away in his sleep in the early -morning hours of Tuesday, May 13th, 2014, in Miami Beach, Florida. He is survived by his loving and devoted daughter, Emily Claire Diamond of Marietta, GA, his mother Mattie Diamond of Miami Beach, his sister Allison Diamond Stone of Alpharetta, Georgia, his brother Albert Diamond of Miami, and his first wife Stephanie Ellis (Diamond) Reaves of Madisonville, Louisiana, formerly of Atlanta. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews. Neil was born in the Bronx, New York, on October 28th, 1952. He was raised in Long Beach on Long Island in New York. After graduating from Long Beach High School, he attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was a member of Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity. He was admitted to Emory University School of Dentistry, and four years later he entered the Pedodontic Residency program at Emory, completing his residency in 1980. Dr. Diamond was a highly respected pediatric dentist in East Cobb County for many years before retiring to Big Timber, Montana, in the early 2000's. After spending a few years in Montana he moved to Miami Beach, Florida. He was beloved by his patients, and their parents. He was a generous, kind and loyal man to anyone and everyone. He was a loving father and will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
