To Mr. Parker family,This Is Hot Dog, - That's the name he's given me and ever since middle school and even going into high school it has stuck with me I do recall when I first introduce my self to Mr. Parker I remember his exact words, I said Hello My name, Is Dijon Like The Mustard, and then he said like you put on a Hot Dog I said yes, then he told me to sit my butt down. As I have already made my transition from high school. from a young adult to a grown man and Heading off to college. There is not a day that goes by, I miss Mr. Parker, dearly I always think about him and sometimes I miss my phone ringing and he always joke with me, or about me. He would come to our high school games and always ask, me to fill up his water bottle with gatorade or power ade. Coach I Miss you and Love you, - Gone But Never Forgotten! Love and Respectfully Dijon L. Milow Russell (A.K.A. - Hot Dog).

I had the opportunity of meeting Darryl in 1992 when we worked together at First Union Bank (now Wachovia). At this time, we didn't know that we were connected through our families in Augusta being members of the same church (Mt Calvary)....then, i didn't realize the connection was deeper with my two older brothers Bubba and Billy knowing both Darryl and Marsha. It was during our time of working together in the ATM dept at the bank that he became one of my big brothers in watching over me while I was completing my degree at Clark Atlanta Univ. Darryl was always a honest and caring person. I am sure that his loving and kind spirit will continue to live on through his children. May God Continue To Bless You During This Time.

To the Parker Family, I want to express my deepest condolences during your time of loss.

I met Mr. Parker when my son and I relocated to Stone Mountain, from Michigan 6 years ago. He was more than just my son’s 7 & 8 science teacher / coach but a role model, disciplinarian, advocate, but most importantly a friend. Although he had a great sense of humor, everyone knew he didn’t play when it came down to business on the field and in the classroom… In fact Darryl dubbed my son Dijon with a nickname that will stay with him forever. Everyone calls him by it, but very few know that Mr. Parker is the one who gave it to him on his first day of school. Courtney, DJ, and little Kendall I know that nothing and no one can fill the void of your father’s presence in your lives, but I must encourage you ladies to lean on one another and I will continue to pray for you all…

Darryl I miss you already!!!
