I knew Virginia and Ken when we worked at Diners Club in Chicago. I was sorry to see she passed on. She was a wonderful person and a true lady.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Vann, I was very saddened to read about Virginia. It has been over 40 years since we were in high school, but I can still hear her giggle and see her smile. We spent many Saturdays doing research at the Carnegie Library for our English papers. May it comfort you to know that she had a positive impact on so many lives. Linda Smades Gourley

I had worked with Virgina while I was stationed at Southwestern Bell. Our company was known for promoting from within which held the business back form exceed ing expectation. When Virgina became of Vice president of marketing the enviroment changed for the better. She was a brand builder and came up with a strategy that helped build our business unit and earned Virgina the opportunity to move up in the organization.
I recall Ken taking a severe fall from a horse at one of our awards events in Arizona and it was then i knew how well Virgina connected with all levels of our employee base.
57 years of doing good in this world not only in business but with all the people she touched.
When I heard of this sad news I just had to reach out and let Ken and the family know that their loved one was respected as well as a beautiful person.
Good bless you all.

My life is enriched by having Virginia's influence. I have here on my desk a quote that VV gave to several of us, it says "It's the fingerprints that count!". Something VV shared from her own Grandmother. VV may you make as many fingerprints in Heaven as you have here in this short time on Earth. For VV's family I am deeply grateful for your sharing her with us.

I just heard this and am so sorry. She was the nicest client I ever had in Mpls MN with Republic Airlines. I worked so close with her and we became friends. I will always remember her and with such wonderful times.

Gone too soon! Wow! I will miss your smile and go-getter attitude, Virginia. You are the type of woman I aspire to be--confident, sassy, well-respected and adored. You will be missed, my dear!

I met Virginia and Ken when I worked at Diners Club in Chicago, having moved there from Los Angeles. VA was one of the very special people that made my two years there a very special place to work. Thinking of her and Ken brings a smile to my face.

We surely lost an incredible lady. I am Virginia's cousin (we called her Lele). I wil never forget her smile! She was part of creating an incredible brand at Cingular. She helped me get my resume into Cingular in 2003 and I'm still at AT&T today! I put together a video of her life for her family...enjoy http://bit.ly/ea0bDD

Dear Mr.& Mrs. Vann, I have recently connected with Jan Barnard and she told me of the death of your daughter LeeLee. My name is Dena Contri Cook, we were neighbors years ago. I still remember all of us playing together and getting in little arguments or fusses, just like little girls are prone to do. I just had to write and tell you how sorry I am, she is a beautiful person, and from what I read, inside and out. You are in my thoughts and prayers, and I especially pray that our Lord brings you peace. "I am the way the truth and the life, he who believes in me will never die".

Mr. & Mrs. Vann and Vicky - There are no words at a time like this to take away your pain. But as you work your way through this hard time - please remember that you and your three girls - Lee Lee, Lynn and Vicky are part of great memories in my life. I will never forget me and "the Vann girls" doing our shows for our parents and waiting for your dimes, our trip out West and all the Friday nights. I'm so thankful this world is not our Final Home and we will all be together one day soon! Please know you all will be in my prayers. I love you all so much.

I consider myself very lucky to have worked with Virginia and Ken at Diners Club in Chicago. Virginia always lit up the room with her intelligence, wit and beauty. My deepest condolences to Ken, her family and friends.

I had the pleasure to work with Virginia when we were forming Cingular Wireless. I remember a story she told me that what was important to her was to leave her "fingerprints" on many things. She did not need the credit but she knew she was a part of a larger team effort and her fingerprints were a lasting impression. That story never left my heart and we have truly lost such a lovely woman but she will always be around with the many things she quietly changed for the better.

Dear Mr.& Mrs. Van, it has been a very long time, but I recently connected with Jan Barnard. I am Dena Contri Cook, your neighbor from years ago, just wanted to tell you how very sorry I am on the death of LeLe. I still remember us all playing and fussing but we would always work things out. She was a beautiful lady and from reading the guestbook a very dedicated and vibrant employee. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. God is Good and I will pray for your comfort and peace at this difficult time.

I worked for Virginia for eight years, in three states, and I enjoyed every day at SBC LD, Southwerstern Bell Mobility and Cingular. Following her from California to Texas, to Atlanta was easy to do with three kids (one an infant) because working for her was like working for my best friend. She was a mentor, a incredible woman; she was family. She was the first to hold my third son, even before family arrived. Virginia and Ken, D and Grandma V (to my kids) were like our GA family for quite a while. I will miss her and never forget her as she has left her incredible impression on my life. She was one in a million... She will be remembered and praised for many years to come. My love to Ken, Vicki, Don and Virginia -- and thoughts and prayers reaching to the highest for all of you. Jill

I was so fortunate to work for Virginia at Republic Airlines. She believed in me and was an amazing mentor. We became close and stayed friends for many years. We skied together, rafted down the Apple River, traveled to Door County (The White Lace Inn), and had many more good times and great memories. Ken, we are so sorry for your loss. Mr. and Mrs. Vann and Vicki, we can't imagine your pain. We are devastated by this news and will keep you in our prayers.

We were first introduced to Virginia at Republic Airlines and worked with her through Diners Club. But beyond the close business relationship, we became even closer friends. Her personality was special. Her energy was vibrant. And we simply adored her. To Ken and all of the family, we are at loss with you.

We were so sad to hear about Virginia. She was such a part of our extended family for so many years when we all lived in Minneapolis, and we took so many trips together. We especially remember our trek across Germany and Austria in a VW minivan--all 6 of us--for 10 days, and the time we went to Germany in search of a Hummel of three sisters for Don and Virginia. Her wedding to Ken was a special memory for our whole family. She was so special to so many people, and we will miss her bright smile and sense of humor. Ken, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the whole family.

I had the privilege of working with Virginia both at Cingular and the Woodruff. What a delightful, stimulating individual. My sympathy to her family.
