When I would see Dave's name on the rotation sheet with mine I would always smile, for he was one of those guys that could make a routine trip quite special. I was fortunate to have shared just a little of his talent and graciousness that you, his family, experienced daily. I share your grief at his passing.

I feel a quiet sadness, and though I feel he left this earth too soon and regret not having said good-bye, little by little, I begin to remember not just that David died, but that he lived; that he touched all our lives in different ways and left memories I'll always carry with me. David was a good man. My heart goes out to you. Mike Devine (Burlington, Vermont)

I am very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. It was an an unexpected shock. We flew together a lot when I was on one of my commute tours in ATL. He was a very good pilot and great cockpit companion.

I am so sorry. Dave and I went to initial Delta training in 1972 together and saw each other frequently on the line afterwards. Always a laugh together, I will never forget his smile and hearty laugh, and joy at seeing an old friend. You could feel that he was glad to see you. My thoughts and prayers are with you. It makes me very sad, especially since I am fighting cancer. Where have all the good men gone!!
