Mary, Cleon, Marcus, and Crystal,
I was saddened when I heard the news about Robert. He touched so many with his nonanxious presence and passion for justice. He was always making things happen for others. I remember Robert inquiring about the amount of homework given to the ITC students (smile). I also remember him hosting a cookout for the class to celebrate their successful completion. He was a giant in many ways. Our souls were stirred by his Sunday morning prayers.
Be encouraged and know the day will come when missing him will not hurt as much as it does right now.
Love you all,
Dr. Amanda C. Ducksworth

Dear Johnson Family,
Please accept my deepest condolemces. Robert, a friend for almost 50 years, boldly and courageously "spoke truth to power" in my hometown, Sandersville, GA, as an SCLC Field Rep. I thank God for him, and others like him, who changed America.

To Robert's Family:
You are so blessed to be his family and his offspring. What a special person Robert was, what a gift from God to the lives of those who were fortunate to have come in contact with him. He gave us memories and thoughts to consider because of his passion and contributions to this country and to others. So sorry he had to leave us and for your loss, but thankful for the contributions he made that touched us all in a special way, and thankful that he is now with the best friend anyone could have, Jesus, Our LORD. God is with you, He supports you and is just a prayer away.
Love and prayers,

Mary, Cleon and Marcus:
You have our deepest condolences. We may not know the degree of your hurt and pain, but we are also hurting.
We will continue to keep you in our prayers and hope that you keep us in yours.
Sorry we were unable to celebrate Robert's home going services with you but again you know that we are there in spirit and in the family's hearts.
There are so many things you want to say when you lose a loved one, but word cannot express your true feelings; so the best we can say is Robert rest in peace, you fought a great fight, your spiritual legacy will be remember by many; we know you are in a better place and you will continue to live on in our hearts.
