I had the pleasure of working with Sherry at The Weber School. She was a warm and carrying woman who would do anything she could to help you. Rifka, I know, was the light of her life. I was so sorry when her illness returned and she decided to move to Florida. I will miss her.

Sherry was a wonderful neighbor and friend to us. She was also a selfless mother and incredibly strong woman, who always had a smile to share no matter what she was going through. We are so saddened to hear of her passing. Rivka, know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and always remember that your Mom loved you more than anything and she will always be with you!

Sherry, Ginger Guthrie and I were at Emory University in the early 70s. Sherry was so courageous, always lots of fun, and knew better how to be a friend than I did at that time. She did, indeed, face challenges with grace and good humor. Here's something little I remember: she would wear flip-flops in the dead of winter -- must have been that New York childhood!! My memories of her are happy ones, and I pray that her daughter will be half the woman her Mother was.

Sherry was a dear, kind friend. I will miss her greeting of "hey, there!" whenever we would speak. She endured many health issues with a smile and courage. She is now at peace.
