Richard Huberty

1925 - 2015

Richard "Dick" William Huberty, 89, of Aurora, IL passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Presence Mercy Medical Center. He was born on November 22, 1925 in Aurora, IL. Dick was a lifelong Aurora resident. He was a 1943 Graduate of Marmion Military Academy and he served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant from 1943 - 1946 in the China-Burma Theater of Operations. He married Violet (Weiler) on June 25th, 1949 at St. Joseph Church. Dick was employed at Martner Products Manufacturing from 1952 until his retirement in 1990, in the Sales Department. Prior to that he was co-owner of Huberty Appliance with his brother Larry from 1948-1952. Dick was a member of St. Rita Church, where he and Vi were ministers of care to the homebound for eighteen years. He loved to garden and was an avid sports fan, his favorite team being the Chicago Cubs. He was also a lifetime member of the Phoenix Club. He is survived by his wife, Violet; four children, Donna (Dennis) Goodlet, David (Chris) Huberty, Dale (Vicki) Huberty, and Lori (Mark) Foust; seven grandchildren, Ryan Goodlet, Katy Smith, Tim Goodlet, Tricia Monette, Josh Huberty, Mandi Messman, and Jessica Foust; eight great-grandchildren and his brother-in-law Ralph Baumann. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Mary Margaret (Lorenz) Huberty; two sisters, Ruth Fermazin and Alice Baumann, a brother, Larry Huberty and sister-in-law Doris Huberty. Funeral services will be Monday, October 26, 2015 at 9:30 am at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Rita of Cascia Church 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Aurora, IL. Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a liturgical wake service at 4:00 pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, IL. 60506. (630) 631-5500.
