Dear Hoffarth Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your husband and father. He truly was a great man. Respected in the police family, community, at church and by family and friends. When we talk about our childhood memories, the Hoffarth family always comes to mind as your family was a part of our lives everday from Kindergarten through high school. I know your family and everyone has lots of wonderful memories of Mr. Hoffarth....I always knew he had the same first name as my dad....but I didn't know he had the same middle name as my dad as well!!!! Thank you for sharing all the family pictures. They were great. I especially loved the family photo with Matt and his big red bow tie! Love and Prayers to the Hoffarth family.
Love Sammy Andrade and family.

To the Hoffarth Family, it is with great sadness to send sympathy, prayers and love for the loss of your husband, father, friend and great model of a Catholic man. There wasn't a time when there hasn't been a "Hoffarth" in the middle of any St. Louis the King activity! To those he left behind, he left you with all his love for each one of you - but you already know that with all the things your family did together. Just sorry that we didn't learn about his passing until after the services were held. You remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Love, Margie and Anna Mendoza

Having been Mike's classmate over 40 years ago, I have to say that Mr. Hoffarth was always one of our "favorite dads." It was a beautiful and fun ceremony, and it was so nice to say hi to Diane again. Love you guys

To the Hoffarth family. It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Mr. Hoffarth. So many years have gone by, but watching the slide show brought back many happy memories of this great man. Like my father, I have the deepest respect for your husband, father, grandpa, uncle and friend. I will always remember his stature, larger than life persona! I called him Sir and Mister out of fear at first as a very young boy, and then out of respect for how I got to know him as a young teenager. Growing up in the church, I will always be grateful to my parents and the many parents of St. Louis the King Parish. Mr. Hoffarth was a mainstay at St. Louis and he is still there in spirit as I felt his presence at the service today. My deepest sympathy to the Hoffarth family and especially Marilyn, my prayers are with you Mrs. Hoffarth! Keep your children and grand children near you as the love of your husband shines through each and every one of them!
God Bless you, and love to all of you,

What a great privilege to have known Ed for over 40 years. I consider Ed a great man and person. He was kind and generous, and loved by all who knew him. He is my friend and a great role model. He will be deeply missed. May he dwell in the house of the Lord for eternity.

It was my pleasure to have known Ed. Ed was a gracious, old school kind of man that earned the respect of all that knew him. I will miss his stories and conversation from when he would stop by HPI. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

From a 7 year old little boy bugging Ed to let him hammer nails into a patio cover he was building, and being told that the steps in his swimming pool were really only steps for his cows to get in and out when thirsty, to a man of 45 needing help in a sad time of his life and finding Ed a friend there to help...to a 59 year old man who knows he has lost one of his dearest friends...my heart is broken...I have lost a dear friend and a Father. There will always be a place of love and dear memories in my heart for you Ed. My love to all the family, may God comfort all of you in your loss. I know I will laugh with you again Ed in Heaven. I will miss you.

The Hoffarth family has always been such a precious thing to me. Some of my best memories from early years were with them. Mr. and Mrs. Hoffarth were my role models for being a parent and I thank you both for that. May your memories bring you all comfort in the days ahead. The world just lost a wonderful soul.
All my love,

The Hoffarth family was the only one I ever had. It was just my mom and myself, with no remaining relatives. I had the privilege of living with them for two years while attending Phoenix College. At the time, Diane was 2 and Michael was 1. It was quite an experience. One I will cherish forever. My Uncle Eddie always took my side. Aunt Marilyn did way too much for me but I tried to repay by baby sitting. He was the last Hoffarth to go, preceded in death my my stepdad, Richard Hoffarth, my Uncle Joe, and my aunts, Helen and Theresa. My Uncle Eddie was always my favorite. We loved to joke with each other non-stop. I will truly miss those exchanges. Everyone loved him. I send my condolences to my precious Aunt Marilyn and all the numerous cousins, too many to mention. You will be my Guardian Angel looking after me. Love you so much.

Although I had limited visits with Ed at fishing tournaments (loved watching him hang with Rudy at the youth tournament last April!), sometimes the best way to notice the amount of good in a person is by seeing the way the rest of the family turns out. I know Mike, Chris and knew Diane; if my kids turn out as well as the Hoffarth clan, I'll be one happy parent. Well done, Ed! Prayers to the entire Hoffarth family - God Bless You!

So sad to hear Uncle Ed had passed, he's at peace now. He reminded me so much of his brother(my grandpa) Joe Hoffarth and I cherish the memories me and my grandma (Lucille Hoffarth) made when we went to Arizona and stayed w/Aunt Terry & Uncle Chuck and visited Marilyn & Ed and the Hoffarth clan. He will always be in our hearts.
