Murphy, Ruth Mary
Ruth M. Murphy (nee Rath) passed away March 1, 2012 at her daughter's home in Tempe AZ. She turned 91 last month surrounded by family and friends. Her vibrant and full life included her late husband of 63 years, Joseph E (2007) and her deceased eldest son Joseph M (2002). She is survived by children, David of Camillus NY, Stephen of New Orleans, Eileen Pasini of Tempe AZ and Maura Rodriguez of Ruckersville VA. Fondly remembering Ruth are her 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Ruth and her family lived in Englewood and Oradell NJ as well as DeWitt NY before retiring for 20 years in Pinehurst NC. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 1800 East Libra Dr. in Tempe. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Valley, [email protected]. Arrangements entrusted to Tempe Mortuary.

I, too, remember many good times at the Murphy's. Aunt Ruth was a gracious lady who always made everyone feel welcome. I have fond memories of vacations at Lake Willoughby, where she hosted many of us. She will be missed. Wish we could have been there to honor her with you.

Can't agree more with Mark and Jane. Some of the best memories I have of childhood are times spent in the Murphy household, particularly sitting around the kitchen table in Oradell talking to Aunt Ruth. Love to all of you - I wish I could be there. Charla
