Gill, John Paul
Age 72, of Phoenix, AZ. It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of John Paul Gill, on May 21, 2010. Family and friends are fortunate to have cherished memories of these great times and John was blessed to have passed doing what he loved most, enjoying the mountains with his family. He was born in Mississippi on March 15, 1938, but spent most of his life in Arizona. John was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, had a degree in business, and spent most of his career in banking. He spent the last 12 years enjoying retirement by spending time outdoors and finding antiques and treasures at yard sales. Memorial services will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 30 at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale. Condolences may be offered at www.westresthavenfuneralhome.com John will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. In honor of John's love of the outdoors, the family is accepting donations made payable to AZ Game and Fish Department. John was awesome, he hired me in the credit card department when I was a teenager. I will always be grateful for the opportunity and friendship we had over the years. You were always a great guy and always made me laugh. I remember you always cared about your family and the great outdoors. Thank you for the great memories.

We are honored to have been apart of Johns life. He has created so many wonderful memories for us to cherish for generations to come. John will be deeply missed by many….. But now, as the days go by so as our thoughts about life increases and it depends on the choices we make in life that determines our greatness in life. Life is a challenge, the harder it becomes the stronger our faith, the stronger success in life, the faith in our lives will keep us alive everyday. Our dreams today will always be tomorrow’s success or achievements, so keep dreaming big and never give up……

Our Blessings to you,
Monique and Neil

John.... you've been there, done that...this is yet another chapter in your travels. I never forget Batchelor days at the apartments.. scuba diving and shootin' pool and finding that Gila Monster "rackin the balls" (We gave him his freedom in the Sonora).
I never forget being a roommate at your house after the Corps...super time in my life.. fishing , yard sales.. always something "next."
You and your familia have always made me feel welcome- thank you.
I hope to live my life as full as yours. My next adventure is in your memory my friend.
