Catherine Ann Hurlburt Obituary
57, of Maricopa, AZ passed away on January 13, 2014. Born in Batavia, NY on June 20, 1956 to John and Jannet Stefaniak. Cathy moved with her husband Roy to Chandler in 1979. She worked for many years for the City of Chandler in the Building Dep't. Cathy was a talented quilter and seamstress. She enjoyed reading, golfing and making memories with her friends and family. She is survived by husband of 38 years Roy, son John, dad John, granddaughter Kaylee, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Memorial services will be at Valley of the Sun Mortuary in Chandler on Sunday January 19th at 1:00 PM. Donations may be made in Cathy's honor to Mom's Pantry at www.momspantryphoenix.org

Oh sister of the needle and cloth, sleep soundly in the Quilters arms. Peaceful and quiet, still and silent, no more pain for you. Rest in the arms of the Quilter. The Quilter that guides our hands to make a fine stitch that binds the seams together. Making art out of bits of scrap. The colors of cloth that makes all of us special. You are the thread that holds us together, the artist that sets the pattern in our lives. You have called our sister home and she is missed. Please mend the hole left in our hearts by her absents, allow her to guide our hands with ever stitch we make. To help us fill our lives with quilts of pretty colors and lovely patterns. Take care of our sister of the needle and thread. Let her know she is missed.

Cathy you will greatly be missed by all. Such a special woman with a big heart for everyone. Remembering you from the time you where my children babysitter at a young age till you became a wife, mother and grandmother yourself. May you rest in peace and thank you for the memories.
