Nettie Clifton Obituary
Relatives and friends may call at AMBROSE FUENRAL HOME,INC.(Arbutus) on Wednesday from 3-5PM and 7-9PM. An additional visitation will be from 10-11AM at Charlestown where a Mass of christian burial will be held on Thursday at Charlestown Our Lady Of The Angels Chapel beginning at 11AM. At the family's request, donations in Nettie's name made to the Patrick County Historical Society Museum and Research Center at PO Box 1045, Stuart, VA 2417.

I corresponded with Miss Nettie back in the mid-1990s, when I was trying to get in touch with relatives and learn about my family history. She was such a kind a generous lady. Although all of my Patrick County relatives had died or left the area, Nettie sent me copies of old photographs that I treasure to this day. God bless you, Miss Nettie.

I had the pleasure of working with Miss Nettie when I was young at Monarch. She is and will always be one of my good memories in life. What a blessing Nettie was to anyone that was fortunate enough to know her. God Bless her and her family.

Mrs. Clifton was a dear person and the most generous, dedicated, and knowledgeable genealogy researcher that I've ever encountered. She was one of the first and most prolific providers of family history information to the Patrick County Historical Museum. Hundreds of researchers over the years have been and will continue to be forever in her debt. That memorial gifts would be made to the local historical society of Patrick County is even more evidence of her and her family's generosity.
