Barbara Dammes Bradeen

MEDFORD - Barbara Dammes Bradeen, 90, went to rest in the peace that Jesus made, Thursday, April 7, 2011, surrounded by her precious family at Hibbard Nursing Home, due to brain cancer. Barbara was born Jan. 20, 1921, in Jamaica, N.Y., daughter of the late Henry and Barbara (Stroh) Dammes. Barbara was a 1940 graduate of Jamaica High School, P.S. 45, New York; and attended Eastern Nazarene College, Quincy, Mass., from 1947 to 1951. Barbara was a lifelong member of Church of the Nazarene. She loved everyone, was very generous, kind to all and deeply loved Jesus. Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Fred C. Bradeen of Medford; her cherished children, Barbara Mae and son-in-law, Gary R. West, of Storrs, Conn., Sam W. and daughter-in-law, Kelly Bradeen, of Medford and Carol Jean and son-in-law, Kenneth Hudak, of Medford; grandchildren, Brittany Regina West, Ricky Lee Bradeen and Katharina Maria West; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Page of Milo and Carolyn Peacock of Tucson, Ariz.; a multitude of nieces and nephews, and many loving friends. Barbara was predeceased by three sisters, Mae Cropper, Martha Toepfer and Anne George; two brothers, Howard and Edward Dammes; niece, Annamae Lyford of Milo; and nephews, Ellis Cropper of Florida and Judge Norman George of New York. A memorial to Barbara is planned for June at Dover-Foxcroft Church of the Nazarene. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dover-Foxcroft Church of the Nazarene, P.O.
