Patricia Currier Obituary

Patricia A. "Pat" Currier Battle Creek Patricia A. "Pat" Currier, 79, died October 21, 2010. Pat was born March 13, 1931 in Battle Creek the daughter of Dr. Carl G. and Margaret E. (Grogan) Fahndrich. She graduated from St. Philip High School in 1951 and attended Argubright Business College. Pat married Robert Lee Currier and he preceded her in death January 22, 1991. She was a secretary at the former Leila Hospital from 1954-1957; she then was a waitress at the former Sky Club, Mar Creek and the Top Hat from 1957-1980 and then she went to work at Pinkerton Security, where she retired from in 1989. She was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Eagles Aerie #299 Ladies Auxiliary. She also had a passion for her cats. Pat is survived by her niece, Elizabeth (Bob) Lepper of Dowling; three nephews, Bob (Lisa) Bailey of Whitmore Lake, and Bill (Susan) Bailey of Clinton Township, and David Bailey of Fenton; three great nieces; two great nephews; two great-great nephews; and a brother-in-law, David H. Barnes and a sister-in-law, Barb Fahndrich. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, Mary Fahndrich and Frances R. Barnes; and her brother, Carl Fahndrich. As per Pat's wishes, cremation has taken place and the graveside service to celebrate Pat's life will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI., with Fr. Robert F. Creagan, officiating. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Humane Society-Calhoun Area. Arrangements by the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home.
