James D. "Jimmy" Outler

James D. Jimmy Outler, 86, of Beaumont, died Monday, September 6, 2010, at Christus Hospital St. Mary in Port Arthur. Born May 2, 1924, in Bradford, Arkansas; Jimmy had been a resident of the Beaumont area most of his life. He retired as a route salesman from Standard Coffee Company, and was a World War II Army veteran. Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Kathryn Dunigan and her husband Johnny of Vidor; son, Danny Outler and his wife Pam of Port Neches; grandchildren, Kasie Outler, and Jamie Outler both of Port Neches; and nieces, Kathy Lamb Martin, and Janice Lamb Finley, both of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Pace Outler; parents, Daniel G. and Effie Outler; brother, Pierce Lamb; and sister, Myrtle Baldwin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2010, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Street, Beaumont, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2010, with a Christian Vigil at 7:00 p.m., at Broussard's.
