Nelson Touchett Jr.

1932 - 2016 Nelson Touchett, Jr., 84, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Calder Woods, Beaumont. He was born on February 5, 1932, to Jennie Lampman Touchett and Nelson Touchett, Sr., in Beaumont. Nelson enjoyed traveling in his RV, fishing, and playing cards and dominos. Survivors include his wife, Pat Touchett; daughters, Jan Bach of Jasper and Terrie Walters of Groves; son, Randy Touchett of Beaumont; stepson, Rick Goldin of Lumberton; stepdaughter, Cherl Phillips of Fort Worth; sisters, Joann Swope and Dorothy Hancock, both of Beaumont; brother, Shepard Touchett of Silsbee; twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Hebert. A gathering of Mr. Touchett's family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2016, at Broussard's, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
