Janet Schrage

Janet K. Schrage, 66, of Highland, Ill., born Dec. 3, 1946, in Grand Rapids, Mich., died at 1:04 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Gateway Regional Medical Center, Granite City, Ill.

Janet graduated from Highland High School in 1965. She worked in St. Louis for an insurance company and graduated from Beautician School. She later worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese, Ill. in the late 1970's and in the mid 1980's with St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, Ill., in the cardiopulmonary department, retiring in 2003.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville C. and Kathleen V. Driemeyer; and a daughter, Jean Kathleen Schrage on April 5, 1991 at the age of 15.

Surviving are her husband, Virgil H. Schrage whom she married on Dec. 7, 1968, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland; two sons, Brian J. (Bobbie Jo) Schrage of Pocahontas, Ill., and Robert J. Schrage of Highland, Ill.; grandchildren, Brendan, Ryan, Taylor, Brock, Jordyn, and Reese; and a sister-in-law, Jane F. (John) Bingham of Breese, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, Ill.



Funeral: Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose, Ill., with Father Edward Schaefer, Pastor officiating. Interment will be at St. Rose Cemetery in St. Rose, Ill.
