Ronald Moore

Ronald "Pappy" L. Moore, 61, of Belleville, Ill., born Sept. 30, 1949, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Mr. Moore retired from USF Holland as a truck driver, and was a member of the local teamsters. He loved spending time with family and friends, cooking and especially grilling BBQ, fishing, playing spades, black jack and poker. Ronald was very proud of his faith in God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Imogene M., nee Newton, Moore; and two brothers, Tommy and Jerry Moore.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret, nee Chambers, Moore; six children, Tyler Chambers-Mo ore, Dominique Chambers-Moore, Ronnie (Patti) Moore, Scott Moore, Jimmy Moore and Rhonda Moore; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers & sisters, Ernie Moore, Murray Newton, Larry Moore and Barb Marrow; mother-in-law, Mary Chambers, and the loving Chambers family; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jain from Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., for his caring professionalism and compassion; the staff at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.; and the staff at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Valhalla Gaerdner Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Parkway West, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: Memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at the funeral home.

There are no words that I could say to change the way I feel for you. You were a Godsend to me and our children and family. I LOVE YOU more than you could ever possibly imagine. I always have you in my heart my thoughts my words and for sure in a song!!!! My dear Husband you meant more to me than my own life. I LOVE YOU PAPPY!!!!!
